Ada seri terbaru game Layton yang keluar di android nih. Game ini campur gameplay visual novel sama puzzle ala detective gitu. Semua bagian game ini keren banget, dari ceritanya, gameplaynya, sampe grafisnya yang ciamik. Kaya lagi maen game premium buat konsol deh. Nggak nyangka banget bisa maenin game aslinya yang biasanya cuma ada di konsol portable Nintendo 3DS. Di awal game, ada video animasi lumayan panjang yang ngenalin tokoh utamanya, Katrielle. Cerita dimulai dari mimpi kenangan masa kecilnya sama si ayah. Dari situ keliatan kalo Katrielle ini gadis yang ceria dan suka misteri. Dia seneng banget ngejar setiap misteri dalam tiap kasusnya. Aku sih ga begitu ngerti hubungan antara Professor Layton dari seri sebelumnya sama Katrielle. Tapi kayaknya Katrielle ini anaknya si professor. Soalnya dari mimpi kenangan Katrielle keliatan banget. Buat yang penasaran, cek aja sendiri di Google ya. Selama petualangannya, Katrielle ditemenin sama Ernest Greeves, asistennya yang setia, dan anjing amnesia yang bisa ngomong namanya Sherl. Sherl bisa ngomong loh, aneh kan? Nama Sherl juga diambil dari Sherlock Holmes, tokoh detective idolanya. Meskipun dia agak protes kalo namanya mirip sama nama cewek. Kehadiran dua karakter ini yang ngasi keseruan di game ini. Katanya si Sherl juga lebih pinter daripada Ernest. Eh, sosok Kat juga cerdas banget dan dikenal sama kepolisian di London. Ga heran kalo dia diundang buat bantuin nangkap pelaku di kasus berat sama Inspector Hastings.

At the beginning of the game, there is a quite long animated video that introduces the main character, Katrielle. The story starts with memories of her childhood with her father. From there, it can be seen that Katrielle is a cheerful girl who loves mysteries. She really enjoys solving every mystery in each case. I don't really understand the relationship between Professor Layton from the previous series and Katrielle. But it seems that Katrielle is the professor's daughter. Because it is very clear from Katrielle's childhood memories. For those who are curious, just check it out on Google. Throughout her adventure, Katrielle is accompanied by Ernest Greeves, her loyal assistant, and an amnesiac dog who can speak named Sherl. Sherl can speak, it's weird, isn't it? The name Sherl is also taken from Sherlock Holmes, his detective idol. Even though he slightly protests that his name is similar to a girl's name.
